Healthy Start Home Visitor Program

Elaine Rupp, Healthy Start Home Visitor

The Healthy Start program provides education and support to pregnant women and families with a baby (birth through one year).

The program is designed to give children a healthy start in life and help you enjoy being a parent. Home visitors can also provide referrals to other community resources.

What a Home Visitor can do:

Hello, my name is Elaine. I am the Healthy Start Home Visitor for Ellis County. This program is free to all expectant mothers in our area irregardless of financial status or legal residency. Currently, 91 counties in Kansas have this program. I hope you will allow me to assist you with information, programs and support so your pregnancy can be healthy and successful. Please think of me as your personal advocate in the community

I have four children so I know how special this time is for mothers and families. All parents have questions, concerns, and expectations. I want you to have a positive experience and will offer practical skills related to the care of your baby. I am also a Certified Breastfeeding Educator and can assist mothers with strategies for successful nursing.

I am available to mothers Monday thru Friday, 9:00-5:30. Special arrangements can be scheduled for evening and Saturday visits. I look forward to meeting you. Congratulations in advance!

Elaine Rupp
